Fantasy News Update

Well, football season is all but over, after this weeks Pro-Bowl, we sit back and wait for March 1st, to see what free agency brings. There still is not much action on this site, but I will keep it going. Here is this weeks free agency questions:

It appears as if Edgerrin James is out in Indianapolis. Where will he go and will he be a fantasy stud? So now the question is does Detroit Latin Stars keep him as either a keeper or a franchise player?

Another running back dilemma: Ricky Williams is a hot subject as of late. The question is will he be in a Dolphins uniform this up coming season or will he be traded. All reports look as if the Denver Broncos want him. If Denver takes T.O. they will not take Ricky Williams. If they pass on T.O. Ricky Williams will go to Denver. If this happens watch out, because Will Work for Points might have just inherited one of the greatest running backs in the game. With Denver's history at running back, Ricky will be unstoppable. However, if he stays in Miami he will be sharing time with Ronnie Brown.

Well not real big fantasy news, unless you are Boston Beer Works. It seems that WR, Joe Jurevicius would like to stay in Seattle, however the Patroits have made an offer to Joe for him to be their number 2 receiver. As a Bucs fan, I know what Joe brings to the table. If N.Y. Knights would be honest, he too would tell you what Joe brings since he use to be a NY Giants. Anyway not a 1st round pick or a keeper, but something to think about in the 2-3 rds.

Well here is another fantasy running back stud: Jamel Lewis. It looks as if Jamel Lewis is out in Baltimore. If so this will help his fantasy value. He has been the star on a offense that sucks, and as of lately teams have kept him down. Give this guy a new team with a QB and a offensive plan, and this guy will reemerge as a fantasy football keeper. The only question is will Gang Green keep him?

Oh Boy what can I say about my fantasy football nightmare. Cutthroat Pirates own T.O. and man did it payoff early. I started out like a fantasy football GOD. But then all hell broke loose. T.O. is now getting ready to play for his 3rd team. This guy is no doubt a fantasy football Stud, however he is also the fantasy football nightmare. There are several reports out there that Denver wants him. If Denver takes T.O. look for Ashley Lelie to be traded and right now it looks as if the 49ers want Lelie. Do not get to excited, Denver may choose to take Ricky Williams and pass on T.O., which would leave T.O. going to either the Bucs or the Dolphins. So the real question is will Cutthroat franchise T.O. We all know if he goes to Tampa that Cutthroat will keep him and Cadillac.

The San Diego Union-Tribune reports the Chargers have offered QB Drew Brees a contract extension. "I have no idea where it goes from here," Chargers GM A.J. Smith said. Brees had offseason shoulder surgery and could be a candidate for a franchise or transition tag if he doesn't agree to a new deal with the Bolts.Analysis: The Chargers want to keep Brees and trade Philip Rivers. Brees' shoulder is definitely cause for concern, but if he stays as the Chargers' starter, he should be a fine No. 1 QB option in 2006. I

The Texans gave QB David Carr an $8 million bonus, as per his contract, effectively suggesting that he will stay with the organization for at least the next season. The move indicates that Carr will remain Houston's quarterback of the future and that RB Reggie Bush will be their selection with the top pick in the 2006 NFL Draft. Carr is at best a No. 2 Fantasy quarterback.

Domanick Davis, who in my opinion is not the problem in Texas, but it seems now with Carr's new deal that the Texans will take Reggie Bush leaving Davis in the cold. If Davis is traded then he will be fine as a Fantasy Running Back, but if they keep him his fantasy days are over.

I saved the best for last, and I wanted to keep the NY Knights waiting. It seems that the MVP's future is uncertain. It seems that Alexander wants to return to Seattle, but he has publicly said he would play for Carolina, who we all know needs a running back. Either way his fantasy value stay sky high. The only thing I hate besides not having him on my team is that if he goes to Carolina, they just got a lot better and they are already a good team. The Buccaneers do not need this to happen. Steve Smith and Shaun Alexander on the same team OUCH who could stop them. I hate to say it but nobody.
