Free Agent Movement.
The Dolphins got their franchise QB Tuesday by sending a second-round pick to Minnesota for Daunte Culpepper. Once he found out Miami was no longer an option, Drew Brees joined the Saints. Once the Dolphins made the move to trade for the Vikings' Daunte Culpepper, it was pretty obvious Brees would end up with the Saints.
Drew Brees signed a six-year, $60 million deal with the New Orleans Saints that included a $8 million signing bonus and a 2006 base salary of $2 million.
The contract includes a $12 million option bonus due next spring and a base salary of $3 million for 2007. This came after Miami traded for Culpepper.
David Givens joined the Tennessee Titans as the team reached agreement with former New England wide receiver David Givens on a five-year contract worth $24 million.
Its heating up guys.
